Good morning, romance reader ♡

“Give me yearning so intense it requires its own weather system.”

I don’t want a little longing.

I don’t want he thinks about her sometimes.

Absolutely not.

If we’re doing yearning, I need atmospheric consequences.

I want storm clouds gathering because they accidentally made eye contact across a ballroom.

I want rain against windows while somebody whispers, I can’t.

When what they very clearly mean is:

I want you so badly I have forgotten how to behave like a reasonable person.

Give me the almost-touch.

The interrupted confession.

The letter that was written but never sent.

The I have loved you quietly for so long that I no longer know where the feeling ends and I begin energy.

And please—please—give me the moment when all that carefully contained longing finally breaks.

Because the best yearning makes you feel like the entire story has been holding its breath.

Every glance means something.

Every silence is suspicious.

Every accidental brush of hands requires seventeen pages of emotional recovery.

And by the time these two finally admit what everyone including the reader, the side characters, and probably the local wildlife already knows?

I want thunder.

I want lightning.

I want the fictional equivalent of a severe weather warning.

Is this a completely reasonable expectation for romantic tension?

No.

Will Romanceaholic be lowering the standard?

Also no. ♡

Give me yearning so intense the forecast simply says:

100% chance of emotional damage.

What book gave you the kind of yearning that had you internally screaming JUST KISS ALREADY?
