Sometimes you don’t realize how tired your heart has been until a story makes it exhale.
Maybe it’s the found family that feels like coming home.
The character who says exactly what you needed someone to say.
The love story that reminds you tenderness still exists.
Or simply a fictional world that lets you disappear for a little while when the real one feels particularly loud.
That’s one of my favorite things about books.
We can pick them up looking for entertainment and somehow find comfort tucked between the chapters.
A little hope.
A little softness.
A reminder that difficult days are still allowed to contain beautiful things.
And maybe you don’t need a book to fix anything today.
Maybe you just need somewhere gentle to land for a chapter or two.
