Good morning, romance reader ♡

“Sometimes a book becomes home before you realize you needed one.”

There are books I love.

And then there are books that somehow become places I miss.

You know the ones.

You open the first page expecting a story, and somewhere along the way you start learning the neighborhood.

You know the cozy little kitchen.

The chair by the library window.

The town square where everybody knows everybody’s business.

You know exactly which character would make the coffee and which one would steal your blanket without apologizing.

And suddenly, without ever meaning to, you’ve moved in.

That’s what comfort books feel like to me.

They aren’t necessarily the biggest stories.

They don’t always have the wildest twists or the most devastating emotional damage.

Sometimes they simply make you feel safe there.

So when life gets noisy, you return.

Not because you’ve forgotten what happens.

You know exactly what happens.

That’s part of the comfort.

You know where the heartbreak is.

You know when things get better.

You know the people waiting for you.

And you know, eventually, you’ll reach the part that makes your heart feel a little softer again.

Maybe that’s why rereading a beloved book feels so different from starting something new.

You aren’t visiting anymore.

You’re going home.

And really, how lovely is it that somewhere on our bookshelves are entire little worlds waiting patiently for us whenever we need them? ♡

Romanceaholic firmly believes fictional addresses still count when your heart knows exactly how to get there.

What book feels like home every time you open it?
