Confessions of a Romanceaholic: Mortal Hearts & Immortal Obsessions Why I’ll Always Fall for Gods, Ghosts, and Underworld Kings

Listen, regular men are fine, but have they ever defied the laws of life and death just to be with you? Have they rewritten fate for love? No? Then excuse me while I continue to obsess over mythology-inspired romances, where falling for a ghost, a god, or a brooding underworld guardian is just another day in the life of a romance reader.

There’s just something about these supernatural love interests. Maybe it’s the ethereal beauty, the centuries of loneliness, because what’s hotter than an immortal being who’s been waiting for you this whole time? Or the fact that they’re untouchable until they meet her, and suddenly everything changes.

That kind of powerful, universe-altering devotion? Inject it directly into my veins.

And let’s not forget the drama. The mortal/immortal tension? Delicious. The “I am a god, I should not feel this way” monologue before he promptly falls to his knees for his mortal lover? Obsessed. The heroine realizing she just accidentally seduced an ancient being who could wipe out civilizations but would rather worship her.

My kind of romance.

So yes, I’ll take an immortal deity with too much power, a tragic past, and a fatal weakness for his heroine, please, and thank you. Because at the end of the day, why settle for a regular man when you can have a love story that shakes the heavens?
