ROMANCE EMERGENCY: YOUR FICTIONAL MEN HAVE UNIONIZED

Apparently sharing one protagonist requires negotiations.

Darling.

We have a situation.

Your carefully assembled Why Choose lineup has called an emergency meeting.

There are notes.

There are demands.

Someone has created a group chat.

Someone else has already muted it.

And Carmen has just discovered a document titled:

PROTAGONIST SHARING AGREEMENT — DRAFT

Oh no.

Apparently six fictional men have decided that sharing one protagonist requires rules, boundaries, and formal negotiations.

Unfortunately, they have very different ideas about what those rules should be.

And because this is Reader Chaos, you have been appointed chief negotiator.

Congratulations.

This position is unpaid.

🖤 THE MORALLY GRAY ONE

DEMAND #1: VETO POWER

He wants the right to veto anyone he doesn’t trust.

Which sounds almost reasonable until you discover the complete list of people he trusts:

You.

That’s it.

That’s the list.

His official position:

“I decide who’s in her orbit.”

Carmen’s note:

We may need to revisit the definition of “sharing.”

☀️ THE GOLDEN RETRIEVER

DEMAND #2: MANDATORY DATE NIGHTS

Finally.

A reasonable person.

He wants everyone to have designated quality time, regular dates, and absolutely no skipping planned romantic evenings because somebody has suddenly decided to brood dramatically.

His official position:

“Quality time is non-negotiable.”

There may also be snacks.

Carmen sees no immediate objections.

Which means something terrible is probably coming.

🔥 THE FLIRT

DEMAND #3: FLIRTING RIGHTS

Here we go.

The Flirt would like flirting with the other love interests officially declared:

NOT A CRIME.

Apparently he has been accused of “causing problems on purpose.”

He strongly denies this.

While smiling.

His official position:

“Jealousy is outdated. Let us flirt.”

The Morally Gray One has left the group chat.

The Protector has added him back.

⚔️ THE PROTECTOR

DEMAND #4: EVERYONE SHARES THEIR LOCATION

His reasoning?

Safety.

Everyone’s location stays on.

At all times.

No exceptions.

The Villain immediately turned his off.

The Quiet & Mysterious One apparently never had his enabled in the first place.

The Protector is developing a headache.

His official position:

“Safety first. Always.”

Carmen’s note:

This meeting has been going on for seventeen minutes.

🌑 THE QUIET & MYSTERIOUS ONE

DEMAND #5: …

He has said nothing.

Nothing.

Everyone else arrived with documents, demands, arguments, and what appears to be a PowerPoint presentation.

This man sat down.

Crossed his arms.

And has been silently observing the proceedings ever since.

His official position:

“…”

Somehow?

THIS IS THE MOST CONCERNING ONE.

Carmen has asked whether he would like to contribute.

He looked at her.

Carmen has withdrawn the question.

😈 THE VILLAIN

DEMAND #6: ABSOLUTE AUTHORITY

Oh, good.

The Villain would like to know why anyone involved in this meeting believes this is a democracy.

Apparently he has reviewed the proposed agreement.

He has several objections.

His primary objection appears to be:

Everyone else having opinions.

His official position:

“It never was a democracy. I simply allowed input.”

Absolutely not.

Carmen would like that entered into the minutes.

🚨 YOUR MISSION

Negotiations have stalled.

The group chat is hostile.

The Golden Retriever is attempting conflict resolution.

The Flirt is making everything worse for entertainment.

The Protector wants everyone’s location.

The Morally Gray One wants veto power.

The Quiet One is still staring.

And the Villain has somehow acquired the chair at the head of the table.

You may approve THREE demands.

That’s it.

THREE.

The other three men will have their requests officially denied.

And yes

they will know it was you.

WHICH THREE ARE YOU APPROVING?

🖤 Morally Gray: Veto power over anyone he doesn’t trust.

☀️ Golden Retriever: Mandatory date nights.

🔥 Flirt: Flirting with the other love interests is officially allowed.

⚔️ Protector: Everyone shares their location.

🌑 Quiet & Mysterious: His mysterious demand remains undisclosed.

😈 Villain: Absolute authority.

Wait.

Why are we being asked to approve a demand when we don’t even know what the Quiet One’s demand is?

Carmen would also like an answer to that question.

Apparently trusting him blindly is part of the experience.

🔥 CHOOSE THREE.

And tell Carmen your reasoning.

Because some combinations are going to require explanation.

☀️ + 🔥 + ⚔️

Date nights, flirting, and safety.

Surprisingly functional.

Carmen is suspicious.

🖤 + ⚔️ + 😈

Veto power, location tracking, and absolute authority?

Darling.

You’ve accidentally created a dictatorship.

☀️ + 🌑 + 😈

One reasonable demand.

One demand you haven’t actually heard.

And one man attempting a hostile takeover.

Fascinating negotiation strategy.

🖤 + 🔥 + 🌑

Possessiveness, flirting, and a man who refuses to explain himself.

The group chat will not survive the evening.

CARMEN’S OFFICIAL RULING

There is no correct answer.

There may not even be a good answer.

This meeting should probably never have happened.

But here we are.

So choose your three.

Defend your decisions.

And remember:

NO FOURTH DEMAND.

No negotiating.

No “but technically…”

Carmen already knows what you’re about to say.

Okay, readers—which THREE demands are you approving? 👀

The other three men will be filing formal complaints with Carmen.

Choose carefully. The group chat is already hostile. 🖤

And keep those negotiations handy, darling… Carmen is explaining Why Choose romance tomorrow.
