Confessions of a Romanceaholic: He’s Cold, Cruel, and Covered in Blood, But Did You See the Way He Touched Her?

Look, I get it, he’s a ruthless killer, morally bankrupt, emotionally unavailable, probably just murdered someone off-page five minutes ago. But the moment he gently brushes a lock of hair from her face? Instant heart-eyes.

I’m GONE.

There’s something so wildly irresistible about a hero who’s cold, cruel, and dangerous to everyone else except her. To the world, he’s a monster. To her? He’s soft touches, whispered reassurances, and “I’d rip the world apart if you asked” kind of devotion.

And if his hands are stained with blood while he’s tenderly tending to her wounds or tucking her into bed like she’s the last good thing he has left? Excuse me while I melt.

Because nothing wrecks me faster than watching a villain, an antihero, a stone-cold king of chaos, completely unravel for the one woman who holds his heart. He’ll slit a throat without blinking, but heaven help anyone who makes her cry.

He’ll burn cities, topple empires, and swear vengeance, then turn around and press the softest kiss to her temple like she’s made of glass.

So yes, he’s cruel. Yes, he’s covered in blood. But the way he touches her like she’s the most precious thing he’s ever known? That’s the real love story. That’s why I’m here, unhinged and swooning, flipping pages like my life depends on it. Because deep down, I don’t want a good man. I want a bad man who’s only good for her.

Confessed. Obsessed. Still feral. See you in the next fantasy.
