Good morning, romance reader ♡

“Real life called. I sent it to voicemail.”

It’s Friday.

And I’m going to need reality to lower its expectations.

Because somewhere between I’ll just read for a few minutes and wait… WHAT DID HE JUST SAY? I became completely unavailable for anything that does not involve this book.

Texts?

Later.

Laundry?

We’ve discussed this.

Plans requiring actual pants?

That feels unnecessarily ambitious.

Because sometimes the best Friday night isn’t going out.

It’s headphones on. Comfy clothes. Snacks within reach. Phone suspiciously far away.

And a romance so good that the outside world becomes somebody else’s problem for a few hours.

Call it antisocial.

I call it protecting my fictional commitments.

Besides, real life will still be there when I finish the chapter.

Probably.

The chapter, however, has just ended on a cliffhanger, and Romanceaholic has priorities. ♡

So tonight, I fully support being a little less available and a lot more invested in people who do not exist.

What book are you happily ignoring real life for right now?

Whatever today brings, go find something delicious to read. ♡

Love stories. Taken seriously.
