Good morning, romance reader ♡

“A woman with a book is never entirely alone.”

There’s a particular kind of quiet that happens when you’re reading by yourself.

You’re alone…

but you’re also not.

Because there are people in your head having arguments.

Someone is falling hopelessly in love.

Someone else is keeping a secret they absolutely should have revealed 150 pages ago.

There might be a brooding man lurking somewhere nearby.

And suddenly your quiet little corner contains an entire world.

That’s one of my favorite things about books.

They keep us company without asking anything from us.

They sit with us on slow mornings.

Travel with us on long afternoons.

Wait patiently on the nightstand until we’re ready to come back.

And sometimes, when life feels a little lonely or simply too loud, opening a familiar story feels like walking into a room where everyone already knows you.

Maybe that’s why we miss certain characters after the last page.

For a little while, they weren’t just characters.

They were company.

They made us laugh.

Frustrated us beyond reason.

Made us worry about people who have never existed.

And somehow left behind feelings that very much do.

So yes, you may see a woman sitting alone with her book.

But romance readers know better.

She has an entire universe sitting beside her. ♡

Romanceaholic will always save a little room on the bench for fictional company.

What fictional world or group of characters would you happily spend the afternoon with?
