Good morning, romance reader ♡

“Protect the softness you fought so hard to keep.”

There’s a strange idea that becoming stronger means becoming harder.

Less trusting.

Less hopeful.

Less willing to care.

As though surviving difficult chapters should turn us into people who no longer feel them.

But I think there’s another kind of strength.

Staying soft anyway.

Still getting excited about little things.

Still believing people can be good.

Still loving deeply when it would be easier to keep everyone at a safe distance.

Still crying over fictional characters because apparently that particular personality trait is never leaving us.

And still hoping for beautiful things, even after life has given you perfectly reasonable reasons to expect otherwise.

That softness isn’t naïveté.

Sometimes it’s something you had to fight your way back to.

And protecting it doesn’t mean letting everyone have access to it.

You can have boundaries and a tender heart.

You can say no and still be kind.

You can walk away from what hurts you without becoming someone who stops believing in what could be good.

You can grow thorns without forgetting how to bloom.

Maybe that’s the part worth remembering today.

The world does not get to take every beautiful thing from you simply because it taught you how to survive.

Keep the tenderness.

Keep the hope.

Keep the ridiculous laugh, the big feelings, the romantic little heart that still wants to believe there are brighter chapters ahead.

Romanceaholic will never ask you to apologize for caring deeply. ♡

What piece of your softness are you determined to protect?
